General Farm FAQs

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit/debit cards, cash, and EBT for eligible produce items. Mobile payments may be accepted depending on the location and season.

Outside food and drinks are permitted, but please no alcoholic beverages.

We operate rain or shine. In the event that the farm needs to close, we will post updates to the website and social media.

Due to the close proximity of the farm to the Olympia Airport, drones are not permitted.

Most paths are stroller-friendly but may be bumpy or uneven in some areas.

Dogs must be on a non-retractable leash and under the owner’s control at all times . Please clean up after your pet. No dogs allowed in the haunted maze.

The farm is flat. Terrain includes dirt, grass, and gravel. Motorized wheelchairs do best. No accessible wagon at this time.

What is there to do at the maze during the day?

We have all kinds of activities.


Everyday:

  • Corn Maze (Checkpoint and FSI game)
  • Swings
  • Cattle roping practice station
  • Corn Hole bean bag toss
  • Wall ball maze game
  • Bubble barn
  • Spookley photo op
  • Jump Pad (weather permitting)

Friday, Saturday and Sunday only (10am to 6pm):

  • Corn Train
  • Cow Train
  • Corn Cannon (first shot included with admission)

Sunflower Festival FAQs

Can I take photos in the sunflower field?

Yes! Our sunflower field is loaded with awesome photo props.

Closed-toe shoes are recommended. Bring sunscreen, water, and be prepared for uneven ground.

Sunflowers attract bees, but they are usually very calm and focused on pollinating.

Concessions & Food FAQs

What food do you sell onsite?

Sunflower Festival: Food offerings are very limited. Currently, we offer kettle corn, Lemonade slushies, and Ice Cream

Fall on the Farm/ Haunted Maze: We offer Grilled cheese, Ice Cream, apple cider slushies and Caramel apples (while supplies last each day). 

Parking & Arrival FAQs

Where do we park?

We have plenty of parking available when you arrive. Once you pull in our gates you will be in the parking lot. On busy weekends please prepare to walk from the back lot to the ticket booth.

There is no cost to park. Find the nearest available spot.

Just looking for a pumpkin? Grab a wheelbarrow or jump on the wagon ride(wagon ride hours vary) and head out to the patch. Once you find the perfect pumpkins bring them back up to the pumpkin weigh in area to pay for them.

Fall on the Farm/Haunted Maze: Please check in at the ticket booth. If you have tickets you purchased online they will get you checked in and give you your wristbands there. If you need to purchase tickets they will also be able to help you at the ticket booth.

The last 3 weekends before Halloween tend to be the busiest. Saturdays are busier then Sundays. 

Photography / Professional Sessions FAQs

Do professional photographers need a ticket?

Sunflower Season: Photographers will either need to purchase a photo session time offered or a general admission ticket.

Fall on the farm: If taking pictures in the maze/courtyard area, yes. Just want to use the pumpkin patch, there is no cost.

Professional sessions are typically allowed during posted hours unless otherwise restricted.

Simple props such as chairs or small items are allowed if they do not disrupt farm operations.

Can I change my reservation?

Yes, please email info@rutledgecornmaze.com.

We do not offer refunds, all sales are final.

Yes—especially for haunted maze nights. Purchasing in advance is strongly recommended.

Pumpkin Patch FAQs

What is the cost to get into the pumpkin patch?

We do not charge admission to our pumpkin patch just for the courtyard and activities. The corn train is free and will take you around the pumpkin patch.

Our pumpkins are sold by the price and by the pound. See our pumpkin patch page for more details. 

We grow a wide range, from small decorative pumpkins to large carving pumpkins.

We have two activities: Spookley story trail (free) and Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt game (paid with prize). Photo ops available.

Carve one to two days before you intend to display it. A pumpkin will last about 1 week after carving, but looks best the first day or two.

A pumpkin will last about a week once carved. The decaying process begins immediately.

Sugar pie/pie pumpkins are best for making dishes.

Yes. Keep them in a cool (45–55 degrees), dry place. They can last for months.

Any Jack-o’-lantern pumpkin works well for seeds.

Haunted Maze FAQs

What is the haunted maze like?

You will just have to find out for yourself. 😉

No. Actors will not touch guests, and guests are not permitted to touch actors.

We do not recommend it for anyone under age 10. No refunds if your child gets too scared.

Yes. Multiple flashing lights are used. Do not attend if strobe lights trigger seizures.

You will just have to find out!

There are strobe and special effect lights. The trail is not directly lit except for scenes.

No. Dogs are not allowed in the haunted maze for safety reasons.

Our maze is mostly flat and we have all scenes made wide enough to allow a wheelchair to get through.

Most groups take about 15–20 minutes depending on pace and crowd levels.

We recommend arriving during your time slot window. Your time slot is solely for the purpose of when you enter the line. Please expect a wait of up to an hour plus on busy nights.

Flashlights, alcohol, weapons, open flames, filming, and costumes are not allowed.

Yes. Ask the nearest actor and they will guide you to an exit.

Fire Pit Rental FAQs

Do I need a ticket to get into the fire pit area?

Yes. All guests going to a fire pit must purchase a ticket. Fire pits are inside the courtyard with access to all attractions. You must purchase either a Fall on the farm or haunted maze ticket. If attending the haunt we recommend buying in advance as tickets do sell out.

No. General admission/Haunted Maze tickets are separate. We recommended if you will be attending the Haunted Maze that you buy tickets in advance as they do sell out.

Yes, but no alcohol.

Yes, camping chairs work great around the fire.

Yes, each fire pit has a power outlet and a light under the tent.

No. A staff attendant will light your fire and provide wood.

No. Pumpkins are an additional cost.

The fire pit areas can handle up to 50 guests.

Yes, simple decorations are welcome. Please no confetti, silly string or other items that are hard to clean.

When you check in at the ticket booth our fire pit attendant will collect all of your supplies that you want taken to you fire pit using one of our UTVs.

Have your QR code for your fire pit booking ready. We recommend saving it before you arrive either to your wallet or taking a screenshot of it. Bring that to the ticket booth and they will contact a fire pit attendant to get you to your fire pit.

Our system assigns fire pits the morning of your reservation to find out what fire pit you will be in please call 360-357-3700

Yes, as long as you book the fire pit under the same name and email hour system will automatically put you in the same fire pit. If for some reason you did not book under the same name please call 360-357-3700 so we can insure you stay in the same fire pit. 

If you reserve consecutive sessions (for example, 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM), you may remain at your fire pit continuously until 1:45 PM without needing to move or check back in.
